TIE 2

Well this is finally over and even though sometime I thought I was going to pull my hair out due to stress I realized that I over analyzed it. The lesson went WONDERFUL and super smooth. Please feel free to view my Voice Thread at any time!

Located below is my embedded version; but feel free to view both.

I will be the first to say that I am most definitely not the most Technological savvy person in the world. I feel that maybe this is why I struggled with this so much. On a brighter note I must face the fact that this world is moving at a very fast rate in upcoming technology and if I want to succeed I better jump on that train and start learning something.

What worked well?:
I feel that what worked especially well was the ease that Voice Thread provided in using and applying its very different form of technology. Its interactive as well as entertaining! I learned so many things while doing this. My partner Felicia and I did not know that you can doodle and talk at the same time. I'm all about learning something new every day and that's exactly what happened. So now if there comes a time when I use Voice Thread again I will know a new and better feature.

What would I do differently:
The only thing I would do differently would be the use of the other features that Voice Thread provides. Instead of doing all voice recordings I would try to type only or doodle only and maybe even combine all two or three of them.

Some questions I have are:
Is there any way that this can be more interactive and have a running log of each student and at the end of the year be made into one big project?
How can this be applied more often?
Should this be used as an assessment for subjects that only have interactive lessons with them?

Here are some peers blogs and voice threads. They all did and excellent job and provided great examples.

TIE 1

Yesterday we had the challenge of uploading all of our identities to Voicethread that ill be using for my Mathematics lesson. I started planning my Blooms and Affordance documents along with my lesson plan. Our story board for this is a work in progress and will be updated as soon as more plans become certain. Our TIE lesson is a mathematics lesson over lines angles and rays for fourth graders. To view our complete lesson Powerpoint

Above are pictures that my partner took of the interactive board that we used and our story board (picture 1) In the planning stages Felicia made an interactive board that gave students instructions. Below are students who are using the story board as they complete their assignment on their voice thread.

Life Coping Skills 101

The skills that I learned with this Voice Thread was major trial and error. It was discovering the options and the things necessary to make our VT visible to our partners. There was some major issues when inviting friends and making it visible and public to them. After those issues were resolved we were able to make comments and do more with our voice thread.
